The ninety-first episode of PolyCast, "Straight to the Chase", features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, "Makahlua", Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew and Lisa "qnl" Bang with returning guest co-hosts Michael "emeseles" Lucas-Smith and Douglas "Rusty Edge" Smith.

The summary of topics is as follows:

- 02m48s | Senate
On specialization being for insects in Civilization IV, using Settler units as a diplomatic tool, merits of executing a Macemen Rush, and the ugly side of expansion.

- Intro/Outro | Miscellaneous
Instant transport of production invested in Palace re-construction, and when to say or not to say what is on one's mind.

PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; sibling show ModCast focuses on Civ modding and RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution.

As always, enjoy.

It was interesting to actually hear you guys praise US instead of continuing the Representation or HR routes.

I thought it was odd the piece you had on in the begining, it didn't sound like a blooper but part of a serious conversation out of context.

I really enjoyed the bit about advancing in levels especially if your on Noble. Nice to see that yes you should occasionally do the Money slider. I think MLS also hit the nail for me that I don't even want to loose ONE city even if it's not a great one to the enemy. It's hard not to see that as a failure on my part to protect my land. That's also the fear for me from overexpanding that I don't have the army to protect these cities and so is vulnarble to the AI who would just love to gobble up the cities.

Some were, but for me and my playstyle -- be it for better or worse -- I use Universal Suffrage in very limited, situational fashions.

The intro ditty is almost never a blooper; in this case, it was part of a game story retelling that wasn't "complete" (hence not a Theatre segment). It's true that its discussion does continue as the lead of the outro snippet collection, and they are almost completely made up of bloopers.
