So, I just had one of the most frustrating experiences in Civilization 7, and I need to vent.
I was playing as Rome, going for a militaristic victory. There was a crucial city owned by Lafayette blocking a major choke point that I needed for my expansion. This was supposed to be my forward base...
I'd expect this on Chiefdom or Warlord, but Immortal!? TBF I do have a decent relationship with Hungary, though I was getting a similar deal even when he wasn't friendly to me, nor did I have an embasy there. Why can't they appreciate that (usually) luxuries are worth one for one? I appreciate...
I haven't been able to find a good detailed guide on the inner workings of research agreements in civilization 6.
Here are the mechanics I'm aware of (some might be wrong please correct me or post additional info if you have it.)
You need to be friends or allies with another civ to start one...
Post patch I've sold diplo favour for outrageous sums, the worst being 77 favour for 115 gpt (in the latest GoTM. Later I sold 30 for around 50gpt.
It's always been very highly valued by the AI, but this seems like a distinct upturn. Which seems unbalanced to me, as it's not that hard to come...
I'm asking because in my current playthrough I know I had the option to trade a artifact for an artifact but after the update I can't trade works with anyone even my friends.
In fact no one is willing to even discuss a trade with an great work involved.
Do anyone else experience this?

-check what your current trades are
-how long they run for
-see what is supplied to you by city...
My goal is adding a trade item called Unique Unit into trade list.I feel diffcult about it;I tried copy a INstance ,and changed its Name then paste in the DiploTrade.xml.Failed of course.
First,I hope the Item "Unique Unit" is a drop-down list that contains all UU the civ has.
It will appear in...
So it used to be in CIv5 that occasionally your ally would ask for a gift. In Civ6, the dynamic has shifted: anyone you've ticked off or beaten the crap out of will ask for "gift" style trade deals CONSTANTLY. These aren't demands - none of these AIs could possibly back up any kind of demand...
Is there some way to tell what existing trade deals you have with the AI? In Civ V it was pretty simple to see what deals you have now and when they end as well as what deals you've had in the past. I can;t seem to cipher out where yo get that info in Civ VI......anyone?????
