[1.0.1.501] Cannot steal any great works

Since the latest update, spies cannot steal any great works. Doesn't matter if you have slots free.

Hi, thanks for answering so quickly! This is a fresh and speedy game that I started this morning after buying the New Frontier Pass.

I have the same problem. Palace slot and Hermitage slots are all free. But I cannot steal any great work with my spies. It doesn't matter which city I choose as a target. Hovering over the theatre in the city where my spy is in lists however a large number of great works available. See the attached file. As I wanted to go for a cultural victory this is a game breaking bug to me.

EDIT: I am pretty sure I could steal great works in another game last week after the frontier pass update.

Had same issue in my post-NFP game

Me too in my post-NFP game. Had tons of Great Work slots available and tried to steal from multiple Russian cities (they always have tons of Great Works). Option to steal was greyed out in all cases.

I hope NFP doesn't start a trend of significant new bugs every 2 months...hopefully they made most of the code changes for just the first NFP release.

Yep this is happening to me in all games I start (fourth post-NFP), it is so annoying as that is about the only thing spies was worthwhile to do (IMHO).

FWIW I just wanted to add that this bug is also present on the PS4 version and presumably other consoles. If the game is played from a fresh disc install with no updates to version 1.0 Spies can be utilised to steal great art works but as soon as the game is updated to 1.03 it is not possible again. I have tested this on Single Player (all difficulty levels), Hot Seat and Multiplayer. Frustratingly it is the last trophy/achievement I need for the game! Thanks.

There's not been an update since the NFP release last month that introduced this bug. So, the answer would be no.

Umm, don't know why you're bumping this thread. The June update isn't out yet and won't be until Thursday of this week, so we don't know yet whether this has been fixed or not. Although it's likely considering they've found the problem and stated it will be addressed.

At first glance, it appears that this has NOT been fixed. I loaded the game I was playing last night after today's update and I was still unable to steal any Great Works of Art from any rival Civ. I am going to try again with a brand new game just to be sure but so far, it doesn't look good.

My guess is that if it has been fixed it will need to be a new game for the changes to take effect.

Well, I started a new game and am still not able to steal great works from anyone, even though their great works are housed in their Theater Squares, as opposed to wonders, and with me having available space. What a letdown. Hopefully, they will fix this soon.

I confirm it is not possible to perfom an art heist after 1.04. I play ps 4 version. So platinum trophy is obtainable for disc version. I have digital copy

Playing disc copy you can delete updates and get the heist trophy playing offline
