[NFP] 1.0.4.8, can only select the first secret society - UI issue, not a bug

I mean, it might be me that is doing something wrong.

Starting a new game I will soon get a scoll for selecting that secret society. However, I don't do the promotion and within a few more turns I will get another scroll.

However, most of the times I will not be able to select that society instead, the first one is already in my govenors windows dialogue.

It's been like that since at least middle august, the first games I played with societies, I'm fairly sure that I was able to change to a society that I discovered later in the game.

Is it a bug or am I just doing it wrong?

It's a UI issue, you need to use the tiny scroll button at the bottom of the Governors screen to move to the right which will show you the other societies!
