Please fix the memory leak!

I apologize if this has already been reported, but I looked and didn't find it. Which surprised me, because my friend who plays Civ more told me about it. But it hurts me more.

I noticed this after the August update, but it could have been due to the June update, as I wasn't playing Civ during that time.

I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.6.

For me, the game starts using about 5 GB of memory. In one game, it got so bad that I was using 96 GB of memory, upon which my machine froze, since that exhausted my swap space. In another game, at one point the Activity Monitor showed memory usage increasing BY THE SECOND while Civ was IN THE BACKGROUND. It doesn't happen right away, but when it does, it gets worse and worse. I can reload the last autosave, and then it starts out fine, but after some turns eventually gets into memory hog mode. So it's not dependent on any particular game state, but is caused by something graphics-related while playing.

I was using only UI mods, but just in case, I played some games without any, and it still happens.

I DID discover that if I play in strategic mode, it does not happen. (Even with the UI mods I like.) I hope that's enough of a clue for you to figure out what's wrong.

Meanwhile, I'm exclusively playing in strategic mode. But I miss the graphics!

P.S. For my friend, the games starts using about 2GB of memory, but he's using Catalina on a newer machine. My machine has a Intel HD Graphics 4000 chip, he has a newer one.

P.S. This may or may not be related, but not in strategic mode, the game sometimes freezes for a while. For instance, ending turn, the ball spins, then freezes, and eventually spins again, and I get the next turn. Once when this happened, a natural disaster also happened, but I don't know if that's coincidence.
