1.29f beta 2 installed...now what?

Those of you who responded persuaded me to install the latest version which I did...I read the text file it came with for all the latest improvements, etc. (too many to really read in depth)...

So I'm going to cheat, take the lazy man's way out and ask for a Reader's Digest condensed version of what improvements I should notice or what elements I should see when playing.

So I submit to you...what (other than my favorite Civ is now PINK) differences should be readily apparent to me now!?

I'm in the early stages of my first game with the new upgrade...

You guys have been a big help...thanks!

Not many changes that are readily apparent, but 1.29 does three things that are important to me.

(1) balances the commercial civ trait (if you like pink now, you'll love it soon).
(2) group movement commands
(3) parity w/ PC version allows for greater community dialogue, such as Succession Games.

Others may find additional benefits.

Can you tell me about the group movement commands...is that like moving an entire stack...I would love that!!

and why PINK for China? Everybody else kept their same colors...

It's not a big deal...not homophobic or anything, but I don't understand if it was a color change just for change sake or if there was some other reason behind it I should be aware of!?

Oh, China is Pink? I thought you were talking about France becasue one of their traits is commercial. Usually the civ you play is its default color, so I'm unsure as to why China is now pink. It didn't change in my application. Is it France's shade of pink? I've seen China as white before, but never pink.

Exactly, the [J] key will move all alike units in a stack together to the same location, while [command-J] will move all units in a stack to the same location.

Thanks dojo...love that stack command...simplifies the big tank column push!!

With us MACians now supposedly on-par with PC users, does that mean the cheatsheet I have with all the keystroke commands will now actually all work!?

Yes, China is PINK as a pig! It is France's color pink...and I noticed America's previous red is now dark blue!

Maybe not, what keystroke commands are you wanting?

I'd have to look at the sheet...

The only one I really was interested in was the cmd-J stroke...

Is anybody familiar with the 1.32.1 patch for OSX? I just noticed it...

Will that override the beta 2 that I just installed...I noticed on there that it fixes the color issue!!

Where did you see/find this? For OSX? There is a new upgrade for jaguar, 10.2.8; but, I'm not aware of this 1.32.1 thingy. I doubt its a Civ3 patch for the mac version, or PC version.

That's for the Civ3 Editor, not the game itself.
