MacSoft is still listing 1.21g on their site as the latest version of Civ III. Will the final 1.29 show up there too?

Mate, who knows now that Brad is working for Aspyr. I trust that MacSoft will get someone up to speed to support an official 1.29 + port Conquests over.

Of course, MacSoft are somewhat preoccupied with getting Age of Mythology and HALO out. Despite all this, it wouldn't suprise me if there was an official 1.29 + Editor + Conquests out in 1-2Q/2004. [Yeah, I know I've said this before, but I still believe it].

You're a real pessimist, aren't you? I sure hope you're right. ;)

I do ... Angus ;)

AlanH, Angus is a project for Aspyr -- as yet unannounced, so it's not Command and Conquer: Generals. It will have nothing to do with Civ3. You may have misread my post as "who knows what Brad is working on at Apsyr." Of course, Brad groupies like you and I read his blog regularly. (-;

I never suggested it was.

Indeed I did! The fault lies somewhere between the keyboard and the chair. Sorry, I'll try harder not to post late at night.

Cheers, Alan -- now back to the guessing game: whaddya reckon 'Angus' is?

Sorry, I have not the foggiest idea!

I'm just an aging techie who was given a copy of Civ3 for Christmas and got hooked. Before that my computer gaming experience was limited to Myst and Minesweeper on the Mac, and before that Manic Miner on the Sinclair Spectrum. (I didn't notice the "M" influence before).

I missed out on Lara Croft, and all the shoot-ups and racing sims and violence - too busy earning a crust, I guess. I don't have a PC, and I have no gaming friends with PCs, so what I know about what's hot, what's not, or why, could be written in the top left hand corner of a very small virtual postage stamp.
