I recently installed the 1.61 patch and was happily playing when I noticed a few bugs. The major one is when I enter the detailed city view, the game slows down to a crawl. It takes about 5 seconds or more for the game to register my mouse clicks and the screen jerkily moves into the overhead view. When I exit city view (5 seconds after I click exit) everything returns to normal. This porblem is a major inconvenience becuase there is no other way to tell my cities what tiles to work or what specialists to have without entering this screen. To test my problem I started a new game and instantly entered the new city's detailed view. Just like before, it was slow and choppy, so it doesn't seem like it's my available memory.
Additionally, I found that my domestic advisor is completely missing. I click on the tab or hit F1 and nothing happens. The rest of the advisors are all working fine. I never really used the domestic advisor much, but now he left me and I miss him. Finally, I noticed that I can no longer see how many Great Person points my city is making or how full the bar is. The whole bar is completely gone.
My system specs are:
2.8 GHz (dual core) Pentium
1000 MB DDR2 Memory
Radeon X300 VC
I never had any problems with the 1.51 patch except for the occassional crashes in modern times on large and huge maps, which seems to be relatively fixed. But, I certainly never had slowdown in the city viewer until now.
Also, this is my first post.
