1.61 Revealed Map over water

I just found a tribal village. They revealed the map over some water - what a waste!

Not really a bug, and far from useless as it shows you the location of another landmass.

To me it is a bug. If a tribal village is powerful enough to have explored the ocean, they aren't a tribal village.

I agree with Mr. Cynical here. This hardly is a bug, although one could follow your line of thoughts.
Nevertheless, some times goody huts provide you with a map showing randomly selected tiles up to a certain distance.
This seems just to be the way it is and doesn't harm.
