1886 game loading/saving very slow and crashing

GnK version, win 7, Steam, no mods (going for achievements)

4 other players I am Siam.

started saving/loading really slow around 1850 now at 1886

when I save in any way it takes about 10x longer than a day before yesterday

I can load the first time upon startup but if I try to load a game after that it crashes

I have 2 HD's split into 4 letters I have a feeling it is my C drive as it's a really old HD

How do I move my save folder to another drive and still have GnK recognize and find it as there is no browse option in game?
