1998 - the greatest year of video gaming

I actually think I'm going for 1996 though. Looking back at it the amount of hits is massive. Kinda funny, most of these are sequels.

-Civ2
-Lords of the realm 2
-Heroes of might and magic 2
-Super mario 64
-Command and conquer Red Alert
-Master of Orion 2 (came out 10-31, same day as red alert. Happy Halloween!)
-Star Wars Shadows of the Empire
-Conquest of the new world (underrated pc game, it's on gog and it's good)

Four big ones I didn't play:
-Tomb Raider
-Diablo
-Quake
-Duke Nukem 3d

Yes that is a very good year. I have very fond memories of red alert. In my opinion it's definitely in my top 10 games of all time. As is MOO2 and civ 2. Civ 2 is probably the best civ ever released. I remember the manual was an absolute beast and I took it on holiday as a kid to read. And I read it from cover to cover. God I'm such a loser

Problem was people lost interest as it drug on, the later votes only had like 5 or 6 total, winners were winning like 3 to 2. And I stopped updating it.

I literally bought civ2 6 or 7 times (i was 17-18 at the time and kept having to OCD ruin the disc to stop spending all my time on Civ2 !!!)
