2 players on 1 PC?

Hi there i was wondering if any1 could help me. I bought Civ 5 and me and my housemate wanted to play it together but on the same PC. We used to do this civ 4 but cant find how to add another human player when starting the game.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

You can't. Civ V is a very limited game right now, with very limited features that are plagued by not so limited bugs.

The foundations for it are in the game already, they just didn't finish it becasue it had to be ready for release. Expect it sooner rather than later.

I saw that youtube video, very unpleasant

They said hotseat will follow release. This is something I'm sure they're working on (other MP features, who knows, but a staple like this one will exist). I don't think it'll be DLC either since they marketed it as something to follow release (the other thing they marketed to be post-release, the mod tools, was released free of charge).
