2 small suggestions about Skeletons

Guard trait as in a counter to assasins?

That would make them so extremly great. But way to powerfull maybe?

one could give the guard trait if a spellcaster with channeling 3 casts the spell.

I don't think skeletons are smart enough to guard against assassins. Arcane units are already less likely to defend against normal attacks, so skeletons will usually be fodder before the spellcasters.

well, skeletons don't need sleep nor do they get bored, so they should actually do pretty well ;).

There are actually 2 seperate areas to enhance defender selection. One of them is specifically for countering Marksman, and another one just changes what it counts your base strength as when selecting defenders. So you could make it use the one and not the other to make them fodder for regular unit attacks.

Catch is though, if you have it select Mr. Weakling, then you are feeding your opponent XP. So you may find that you do not much like the change if it were made.

When I think of it xienwolf is correct. Actually skeletons can be quit nice.
Give the skeleton -1 str compared to now and give them guardsman promotion.

Then they can easily be destroyed in masses by things with blitz promotions. And you will need a lot of skeletons to safely protect your spellcaster from the assasins.

Actually I think higher level spellcasters have multiple "less likely to defend"s so mages/archmages would still be hit by assassins before skeletons...

Oh, and a -1 str is an idea I disagree with, I like them being a tough enemy in the early game where all you have is the weaker warriors.
