3.13 patch installed, but wont let play

My friend and I are trying to get online to play bts and I am having no probs, patch installed and away I went. My friend says that his patch installed but when he tries to go back to online lobby it says he needs to install patch again. He says he tried installing it again but still the same thing. Anyone know why this would be?

unfortunately there are quite a few issues with the patch installer - the best thing is a clean install, i.e. uninstall everything reinstall and patch directly to 3.13. With uninstall everything I mean also any custom assets etc.
