absolutely - also if I had used an ISO of Civ4: BtS I could at least see a reason in this protection, but if I have my original DVD in my original *g* DVD drive, it's quite unlogical that an error like "no original disc" appears. If the error would have been "you have daemon tools installed" - okay that would be honest at least, if unnessecary any way.
Because (haven't tried yet) the funny thing is, that if I would use a crack to circumvent the de-installation of daemon tools it supposingly would work. So if I'm a customer who bought the game I can't use the original disc if at the same time I have installed daemon tools - but if I was a software pirat I could download and play it via daemon tools without trouble.
Sometimes I wonder, if it's really the best thing to be a honest person...
I mean hey I've bought Civ1, Civ2, ToT, Civ3, Civ4, BtS, and PLENTY of other games and now patch 3.17 wants to tell ME I was a software pirat? what is it up to? make me one or something?
crap.
