The key to getting points in Civ 3 is to be a strong empire from the very start. Since they calculate your score as an average of your civ's history, it's good to be dominant throughout the game. I usually play the peace game, though try to build up my forces to dissuade the enemy from declaring war.

Hi,

In my experience I usually have to resort to early war in order build up empire size. What are some of the things you do to build up empire size peacefully?

you 1) expand as fast as you can early on and then 2)put a hell of alot of culture at your boarder cities to make the enemy citys flip to your control but a good war never goes astray either (unless you plan it poorly )

i agree with the first point but you also need not only to culturally expand but to build up a large miltary
