What's stopping you, Sweetchuck? The save is in post number 2!I'd be tempted to..

I would have moved the settler a tile SW, that's off the wheat and still on the river. The worker can start irrigating straight away.
Right, but you put 2 wheat out of reach. I'm thinking about reaching 6 of them.
Didn't your mommy teach you how to share?![]()
Or...Goodness gracious people you have it all wrong (note the tone here)! (and the silly exclamation point) Move one square north, plant on top of the wheat so you'll have a coast, a river, a forest and a hill, 5 wheats, and play for the 20k.
Good option, but what if you wouldn't care about a 20k victory?Goodness gracious people you have it all wrong (note the tone here)! I don't think Spoonwood even knows there are other ways to win this game.Good option, but what if you wouldn't care about a 20k victory?

I will later post a screenshot with some more land exposed. (or, someone else may)
Say "Master of Quarters," it sounds more regal. That's Quartermaster Spoonwood to you Sharwood and others who spout such nonsense.
Theov,
If not playing for the 20k, I'd probably go with Ecuwins suggested placement. Hence, it's a good idea to have your victory condition in mind from the get go.
20k is pretty hard to do, depending on the situation. I joke that Spoonwood doesn't know other victory conditions exist because he's made it into something of an artform.I don't consider 20K a 'victory'. If you know what I mean. Maybe if I tried and found out that it's hard to do.
But ok.
I'm researching Invention now. I'm actually curious about how you would've played this starting scenario.
