4th age without switching civs

What if there is a fourth/future age but instead of switching civs, we get to pick our own name and maybe a feature from the previous 3 civs we played in that game?

That could be fun. I've always hoped Civ would add a popper future age. I get that there's no way to predict the future but I've always felt like it would make the game feel far more fresh. It would be interesting to see how the alternate history of the game translates to an alternate future. Besides, the end game really feels sluggish with its lack of wonders and units

I would be fine with this, as long as there isn't another exclusive civ roster for the fourth age.
