Proposal: Manhattan Project project is renamed to Nuclear Weapons Program.
Amendment: National Nuclear Project is changed to Nuclear Weapons Program

Rationale: Manhattan is too specific, while the game has a plethora of different Civilizations and cultures. A more generic name fits better and is better for the game, in my humble opinion.

This one is tricky, while I agree on the others, the term "Manhattan project" is so iconic, such a colloquialism in English language -- I might leave this one to regionalization, like in English it should be Manhattan project but maybe if someone is playing the game in non-english it makes some other reference.

In polish it's "Projekt Manhattan", so it's the same.

Name changes would be more confusing than it's worth it imho. Also, I agree that "Manhattan Project" is very iconic, so I prefer it over just "national nuclear project".

No, we don't have to. This is just an idea, people may vote it into oblivion later, and that's okay. I don't see how the name of choice of one country's nuclear project is a precedent for all civilizations to follow, and how "X has completed Manhattan Project" notification popping up 8, 12 (or in my case, 22) times help with flavor and immersion, but I'd be interested in your opinion regarding both questions.
