1. The Trapping icon is still on the Archery text on the tech tree.

2. Hovering over Science, I get city science, plus TXT KEY TP SCIENCE FROM DOF'S, and no mention of the Porcelain Tower modifier.

1) Thank you, I've fixed this for v8.4.

I often accidentally overlook updating tech tooltips. I'm not really sure why Firaxis has information there. It's redundant with what's visually displayed on the tech itself, and doesn't update automatically to the game data, so I might just remove those tooltips entirely.

2) Thanks, also fixed for v8.4.

After making peace with a CS, my caravel was unable to enter its sea space. This happens on rare occasions, but there may be a connection given the circumstances.

I can actually confirm that this happens in vanilla in the latest patch as well.

You're certain there was no defensive embarkation involved? I've noticed ranged land units can now attack embarked ships... perhaps something they did to introduce that change also messed up naval movement.

Either way, things involving unit movement are out of my hands.

Oops... every one may well have been Songhai, although I'm not positive. I lost that 8.3 game to somebody's CV, thanks to no Victory Progress screen - now on to 8.4!

Playing 8.6, I was able to ram an embarked unit with a slaver, but after I promoted it to a caravel, it could not ram a Florentine archer.

Asking the obvious here, did you try giving it a force move order rather than right-clicking? I had a similar issue with an archer shooting at a worker instead of moving onto it and taking it. When I ordered the archer to move it captured the worker.

I know I tried a force move, but I may also have tried right-click at some point. I also have the problem with the archer and worker, so I will try moving it.

I have certainly had situtations where right-click does the ranged attack and then manual force move does the capture/naval ram.
