This is just absurd that there is a limit to the number of players in a hotseat game. They should make it so that you can have more than 8 but maybe only 8 human players. I think it would be fun to play the world maps that are out their but with only 8 people, thats impossible.

Yes, I agree. In fact, I demand that 31 players be allowed! Just think of it! TETurkan's mod in multiplayer!

I agree, even though it would take forever to play.

Not really warpstorm. Just set it to diety, and your fellow (in my case other brother) wouldnt get much land and would be wiped out fairly quickly along with me too ;)

Of course, I would do the map on regent so I would have a chance of winning :p

But, hotseat is turnbased. If it takes 5 minutes for a turn at the start of the game, and there's 31 players, that's 155 minutes! (over 2 hours for 1 turn). Factor in maybe 2-3 hours for 1 turn in the industrial age, and you have 62-93 hours! 3-4 days for 1 turn!

@sewer: lol

i agree with chieftess, it would take FAR too long to play a game

WRONG :p

It doesnt take 5 minutes for a turn in the ancient ages for me or my brothers. The first 10+ turns we barely even last 10 seconds!

Plus, we wouldnt have 31 people (human) playing! Wouldnt be enough room... plus I wouldnt want to humiliate them all ;)

It would only be me, Unreg and maybe my other brother.

Yeah, if you don't take the time to move units and micromanage. :p

@Chieftess: The sky's the limit. As long as there are civfanatics that are willling, there will be a way!

I'd only play with a couple of friends, but even if there were 4 of us, then there could only be 4 computers. That's not challenging enough. I'd like to play on a Europe or World Map that can fit many of the nations for a near historical setting.
