Hello Fellow Civ Fans,

I don't remember my last game where towards the end or last 15 turns before victory that to build districts in all cities is at 999+ turns.

Any thoughts on this would be great to explain what was going on.

Thanks

It's a bug related to the dramatic ages mode. Iirc it can trigger if you have an active golden age policy in the turn the age changes.

Not always. I am playing without this mode but have the same. I suspect low loyalty in city.

Yeah if a city is low on loyalty you will get a penalty on your yields. The highest penalty is indeed - 100% which takes all building times to 999+ turns. This would apply to all building times though while @brewgod just talked about district building times. Also he talked about ALL of his cities at the same time and not just one which is nearly impossible to achieve. Plus he was able to keep that low state of loyalty for 15 turns (since the building time didn't change).
So I am 100% sure it is the dramatic ages bug in that specific case.

Bug is STILL happening in JULY 2023. Seriously, a game breaking bug has not been fixed after SEVEN YEARS?
I love this game but the best feature, long campaigns in big worlds is unplayable because late game, just as it gets interesting, the game breaks and a hundred hours of gameplay is down the gurgler.

We all agree bugs should be fixed, but it's not entirely fair to say it's not been fixed after seven years. The bug wasn't necessarily introduced in July 2016 (coincidentally about 4 months before the game actually released). The timer didn't start running until the bug was introduced, I would say, and if it is related to the Dramatic Ages mode, its earliest introduction would be 24 September 2020. So, that's nearly 3 years at most. It could be the bug was introduced somewhere down the line, even in the last round of bug fixing. I have no knowledge of this.
It might still be your opinion that even a year, or a month, might be way too long for a bug to still exist, but to state it's been seven years is a simple misrepresentation.

Also, I believe this bug was fixed, but during the release of Leader Pass, certain platforms did not get sync'd up with game versions so bugs they are not on the same game version as the PC.
