Had one more piece to complete the space ship, it was going to take about 10 turns so I sent a leader to hurry the improvement.
It hurried it, built it, but from then on out I could not access the space race screen again to launch it.
Usually, when you build a component it displays the space race screen but this time it didn't, nor did it respond to F10 or the space race button.
I had save of the game about 20 turns before doing it, this time just built the last piece normally, and was able to launch the ship.
Maybe someone could look into hurried ship components?
