1.does hellfire actually spawn something because the civpedia entry says it spawns demons but I've never actually seen it do anything other than distract barbs or get razed

2.does the Mary Morbus event actually work because I've never seen the event happen or are there more requirements than just an alchemy lab or is it just really, really, really rare?

3.do negative healing rates actually work? because when i made a unit with diseased, withered, and plagued got it damaged, it would just not heal instead of die

4.why does still he have the diseased or plague carrier promotion? both dont do any thing helpful except prevent him from healing naturally or subtracting 30% of his health

5.should the diseased promotion be made to affect the entire stack upon attack and spread readily? because cure disease is now in abundance for the units that can actually get diseased

6. contagion is unit specific, so why not make yersinia also be able to use a spell? 2 out of 4 horsemen + the avatar have a spell and yersinia is supposed to spread plague

7.could some one explain the purpose of still having plague carrier? in the past it made Plague Mary require long times for healings and thus little use, now it still slows down healing only without the plague

dont answer 5 or 7, I just realized how powerful plague /with disease was...

I've seen the hellfire thing spawn Sect of Flies. This was when I was playing as Hyborem though, and I don't know what else it spawns.

true, it should still spawn them though, and they still have thier unique model.

The Mary Morbus event works, it's just not common, although I haven't had it happen in a while. Having more than one Alchemy lab probably helps increase the chances of it happening.

It spawns Sects of Flies. Slowly. Pretty useless, just annoying because it razes improvements it spawns on.

Yes, it works. Yes, it's also rare, especially with all the new events being added in.

Not as far as I can tell. Shame, really.

Yersinia does spread the Plague, though it's in battle rather than via spell. Perhaps it should be added to his abilities though.

From the pedia, I thought the hellfire was supposed to spawn higher level demons. Only problem, the highest level demon unit is the Balor. Yea there is the Meshabber of Dis and Hyborem, but there aren't any units for the ranks between them and the balors.

As answered, it does spawn units. Used to be Sect of Flies, now it is just plain Champions with the Infernal appearance. It is fairly rare for the spawn rate. They spawn belonging to the Infernals if they are in the game, and belonging to the Barbarians otherwise.

Fortunately someone els ein the thread stated it worked for him. Haven't played in ages, so could only say that it OUGHT to work :)

3.do negative healing rates actually work? because when i made a unit with diseased, withered, and plagued got it damaged, it would just not heal instead of die

Kael removed the ability to lose health due to negative healing rates with Fire (long ago). The AI was not realizing that the unit was incapable of healing, so would issue them a "Heal" command, thus leaving them to sit on the tile and slowly die. Now that he is doing AI work, it is possible that he might return this feature to the game. But for now, it just keeps the unit from healing. Applying very large values means that they are unable to heal even with Medic III units and special buildings/features present. Though in each of those cases they can usually get the negative healing rate cured, so it is largely pointless. :(

4.why does still he have the diseased or plague carrier promotion? both dont do any thing helpful except prevent him from healing naturally or subtracting 30% of his health

Couldn't say really. I imagine it was intended for these promotions to not have any downside to them, and make you immune to the promotion which you apply, thus preventing Mary from getting the Plague herself, but still being able to spread it.

Kinda be more fun to see Yersinia spread the plague to nearby cities passively, rather than having him use a spell to do anything :)

Only thing is though, I haven't seen the event in quite a while, I have had the event, but that was back in .31 . Like Pyro said though, it is pretty rare. Then again, I haven't really been building the alchemy labs.
