A good starting plan...

Who cares if your cities are small in the beginning?
Its better to have 30 cities in the size of 3, than 10 cities in the size of 8....
Therefore I cant agree with you Darius..

Nyet!

I don't like the 30 of 3 because odds are these small cities are low on improvements and roads, and that often brings you behind in science, not to mention the probable lacking in production and cash could weaken your ability to defend. Also, my point was that you make a core of ten full cities, and precisely when these are completely finished then you can expand to your heart's content. Therefore, by the time one can achieve 30 of 3, I will have 10 of 17, 15 of five, four of two, and so on.

Mine is to found a couple of cities and then all of my cities build excatly the same improvements what my Capitals building. It kinda Bureaucratic but I have had some sucess with it I posted a thread about it before. If u like communism and feel that the government is not enough I think this is what you should do.

One question.....Has anyone else tried this because im new to this forum.

you're suggesting that you'll have invented sanitation by then?

Um, yes. The excellent improvements and trade infrastructure of the ten or so large cities will give you enough trade to get that far ahead in science. Atop that you can take a different track up the tech tree than otherwise to get Sewer System early. Not really necessary, though; 10 of 12 is good too.
