A Heroic Cycle - D&D 4E Campaign

"I'm not so sure. This sounds like something that isn't worth the risk. I don't have a grudge with these guys. If you all want to go I'll come with you, but I'm just saying think a bit about how risky this actually is. Does anyone even have a reason to be fighting these people?"

"They are stopping travelers on the road and robbing people. I am sure there would be some sort of reward for dealing with them. Maybe my uncle have problems with them even. I say let's head there, though Garul should lead us there."

"If someone who are able to conceal themselves sneak in, we wouldn't be surprised by what is in there".

"Okay, seriously, lets think about this for a moment. We're risking our very lives to go in there and fight a bunch of goblins, who by the way aren't giving us any trouble, in their territory which is completely unknown to us, while they outnumber us, and probably have far stronger weaponry than we do. I think Garul has a point. We might want to turn back. And if we do go against out better judgement and go in there, at least tell me what this whole thing about your uncle you keep mentioning is." Jayay turns to speak to Garul "And as far as I'm concerned Garul, you are no slave. You may leave at any time you wish, as long as the others agree." Jayay looks at the sky as though in thought "although it might be safer to stay with us for a while considering that no doubt more bandits are walking around these woods, and travelers will be none too happy if they see you either."

Oh yeah, and I am most definately not gonna be your scout into a small cave with almost no cover and with 100% possibility of being outnumbered. No, most definately not.

Spoiler :
I've never been a part of an adventuring group that didn't want to do the typical dungeon delve.

"Well then, what are our options? If we don't go after the goblin encampment, then are we going to look for [oyzar's name] uncle, or is there another option that we are unaware of? Personally, I'd rather remove the goblins from this area."

Spoiler :
1st Rule of RPG NES. NEver delve into a dungeon without any cover whatsoever. Seriously. It's a bad idea :p

Spoiler :
This is a NES? Why didn't anyone tell me? It is a normal D&D game...

"I am with Ash on this. I have never met my uncle, and we were just going to him to seek adventure in the first place. Here we have adventure right at our hands. If you don't want to sneak ahead, that is fine. I guess we could all go in together."

"I agree on us all going in together. It would be nice if we had a scout who moved slightly ahead of us, so that we didn't walk into a trap, but if you prefer not, I guess I could be the scout. I'm not as qualified for it as you, not even close, actually."

"Well, if we're going in we're doing this right! I'll scout out the area ahead of us after we choose which way we're going, I'd perfer to look for alternate routes around combat if I can, and find some good spots to attack from if I can't. Also, we haven't quite decided what to do about Garul. Should we tell him to find somewhere to hide or to follow us in or what?"

"I will scout ahead as well. If you insist. As for Garul and various other PR matter, I believe that is Edelay's department"

"Garul would know this place better than any of us. Obviously if he goes off onto the road alone, some travelers that decide that they aren't happy with bandits might find him... We wouldn't want that to happen, so it might just be better for him to help us. If we are all in agreement then lets go."
