Hello, there. Long time lurker*, first time poster.
I've recently switched over to Steam for most of my gaming needs, including my copy of Civilization. I'm now installing it on my rebuilt laptop, which now runs Windows 7. I tried downloading Dune Wars and Planetfall, my two favorite mods, but of course I need 3.19 for that. No problem, says I. I tried installing it, and it wouldn't install. I found out this is because I need 3.17 installed first. No problem, says I. I download the installer and...
...it tells me that I don't have Civ4 installed?!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's run into this problem, but I'd appreciate it if someone could tel me how I could install the updates on a Steam copy. My trigger finger is itchy for Miriam Godwinson and I feel a distinct lack of melange in my diet.
*I remember the first update of "Princes of the Universe." I've been lurking /that/ long.
