A mod to have old civ5 workers?

Why on earth would you want to do that? Builders are much cleaner more realistic approach to our beloved game. You would rather have these workers running around replacing features all over the place? I can't think of any good reason at all, I find this new rendition to be a blast. Only thing wrong is the AI needs tweaking. Civ 5 tbh was a pale horse compared to Civ 6. I am confused as to why but I am sure it could be done. ;)

Automation is currently not here, but the Builder Mod increases the charges of the builders to 10, and allows them to build roads.
Automation would be really useful in the end game though, when your main cities are fully developed, and you only have "filler cities" to grab some resources, or captured cities.

Because i like building a roster of workes who go around and improve the land without me having the hassle to move each one around, in civ5 later game when i conquered AI territories i enjoyed seeing a multitude of workes moving in and start a huge improving plan, i liked when using nukes them moving in and start clear the nuclear fallout (don't you think that especially in this situation builders are clunky as hell?).
Oh and i liked how they build roads and later game improve them into railways ;)

Anyway i really want my good old workers back, and hope the modders can implement them ;)

For now just change the charges under the builder to 99 or something crazy. Instant, no nonsense bandaid. Automation would need vastly more input.

Because he wants that. You don't get to decide how he has fun.

 That IS NOT what I meant at all, talk about taking someone out of context. :D I was NOT nor never would I try to tell someone how to have fun. Does anyone do that seriously?:lol:

I actually relate to the guy, and I find I am missing them myself however the change is great for the series. All the changes are welcomed to most old long time players of the civ series. I was surprised by you wanting them back, but it is understandable.

I bet you could put in anything you want, if I am assuming and understanding correctly the game will allow practically anything to be changed via the lua.

There are some issues with the builders mod, in later eras they disappear completely and never come back. Around the Industrial era they go bye bye, I suspect if the mod is working for most players that it doesn't play well with other mods. I posted in your forum project page regarding this. I haven't seen any updates or replies, why I mention it here.

It's not my mod, but you might have another mod that e.g. modifies the settler to build roads or improves the Military Engineer. As stated in the description, you can only have exactly one unit in the game that is allowed to build roads, and the mod assigns it to the Builder. Any other that will also do this will likely result in unforeseen consequences.

(And btw I also don't see the post you're referring to.)
