Hello this is my first scenario release on civfanatics. I have always been on this site just did not have an account. I have decided to release these two scenarios because I want some feedback on them. Originally I was going to just play these maps by myself, with my brother, and with steam friends. But my brother did not want to play civ3 and my two steam friends have not got around to playing it.

Keep in mind im still sort of new at modding civ3. I only discovered the editor at about 2008. The first scenarios I created were either quickly drawn or quickly generated. After a while I gradually branched out and added more custom content which came from this site. Off and on I came back to civ3 and gradually learned more and started to add custom units and leaderheads which at first brought a lot of errors but now I have hardly any.

I have stayed with civ3 instead of going on to civ5 because it is my favourite strategy game and I cannot bring myself to continue playing a game on civ5 or even civ4. Even though my brother likes to play those games.

Let us get to the scenarios. They are Ancient style, since that is my favourite time period.
---------------
A New Beginning
----------------
The Empire of Neresea has fallen apart. When the new emperor came to power the government became very corrupt and the emperor wanted complete authority. Several of the states have broken away from the empire. Some of the states wanted freedom and a better government, others wanted more power. The whole of Lyasha is now at war, can you bring peace?--Map is designed for singleplayer and multiplayer. This scenario has a time limit of 90 turns. (Scenario Properties)
---------------
A New Freedom
---------------
The Empire of Neresea has been defeated by the former Freedom Alliance. But there is still battles being fought all over Lyasha. Most of Lyasha is in ruins, can you make the areas prosperous again? Choose your country wisely and bring world peace to Lyasha. -Map is set 3 years after the ending of the first scenario A New Beginning. Map is designed for both singleplayer and multiplayer. This scenario has a time limit of 120 turns. An increase of 30 turns from the previous scenario. (Scenario Properties)

ANB is dealing mainly with the Neresean Empire.
ANF is dealing mainly with the former provinces.

All custom content came from this site. The Leaderheads, Custom Units, Interface, and Terrain. I think that is all.

Here's a few credits I quickly went and dug up.

embryodead
R8XFT
gael
Grandraem
ShiroKobbure, Ares de Borg

I think this is it for the Leaderheads.

Custom Units most of them I think were done by Sandris. Sorry if I did not put everyone here.

Important Info
--------------
I originally uploaded it to mediafire to get it to a steam friend. Because I have at the moment a low gb limit, I have left it on there and put that link here.

Because of the low gb limit. ANF needs extra files copied from ANB. All the folders that have changes for ANF are already in the ANF folder. All you need to do is copy the folders that are not there.

Here's a quick list of folders to copy from ANB: Cities, City Screen, Civilopedia Units Folder, Diplomacy, EraSplash, Interface, SmallHeads, Tech Chooser, Terrain, Units,
That should be all.

I did write a civilopedia for all the civilizations. In case somebody does not want to read it, I tried to keep important info that somebody might want at the top of the page.

All civilizations have their own custom units.

File is approx. 141MB, it includes both scenarios.

While working on another scenario, I uncovered the problem which I was having with the units' civilopedia icons. Please download the updated pediaicons txts and replace them with the ones in the Text Folder. (Unless you see the problem yourself and know what to do)

Welcome to the CivFanatics Customization & Creation forum, Nathiri, and thank you for posting your scenario. It would be nice to see some screenshots of it.

Alright, I have a map one that I put on the civfanatics download page. But I will get some from ingame a.s.a.p.

A trick that I use for screenies is to put screenshots onto the download database page, using the Images option half way down the page. You can download pics directly from your computer (so you don't need a pic storage site like photobucket, although that will come in handy for other things), and then you can link to those images from your thread.

Thanks.

EDIT: Photos should be up.

Very interesting, I have to check it out:)

Thanks for commenting. There are some things I did not do in this scenario that I am doing in my next one (which I will probably upload within a few days). I probably will not update this scenario (which I mean by adding new things), unless people ask me to. If there are bugs or some small things that will improve it, I would probably do those things.

Nathiri, Welcome to the CivFanatics Customization & Creation forum.

Great bunch of creative people here and Happy to have you join in.

...Quite a Good start, posting two Scenarios and already another one on the way :goodjob:

Well this one was already done maybe about 5 days or a few more before I posted it here. And if my mind isnt burned out I usually already have another idea to put into a scenario.
