A Noble Walkthrough

This was fun to follow. Would it be possible for you to recap the periods for which you were at war (i.e. with whom and the dates). I'm trying to wean myself off the peacenik that I am, so it would be useful for me.

@Pigswill: I meant how do you get the little icons on the right of the first screenshot on your post 65 (icon of lib, marchet, and court)? :)

I was enjoying reading this game (I hate it when I somehow get 3-4 aggressive leaders in my games... and it always seems to happen...), then I stumbled on this question. I may be late, hopefully you will see my answer.

These are pop-ups that come up when you tweak something in the options. I don't remember the exact name of the option, but if you check that option, it lets you move your units before the game forces you to choose what to build, or what to research next. I set my game like this because, with my workers or at times of war, if the game forces the "what should Paris build next?" screen on me before I can move my units, I tend to forget my specific plan or what I wanted to do with the units specifically, because my focus is taken away... I set my game so that I see the movement of enemy units, so I'm like "oh I see Monty is bringing his units there, so I should bring my stack there...", but as soon as I want to move my stack, BAM, "what do you want to build in Paris?", no, go away! Wait, what was I going to do? So no, I'd rather have the game wait to throw these pop ups at me.

Am I the only one who finds it really annoying that you can't do anything when these pop-ups show up, unless you take a decision right away. You can't click on anything else, you can't review your relationships screen for instance. This is particularly annoying when a random event pops up, one that could affect diplomacy, or one that affects a city or a unit of yours, and you can't quite go and see what it is about, or what your relationships are, because you have to choose NOW. It's not like the game can't display more than one screen at a time... When a leader contacts you and you're in the trade screen, you can still open your help screens/charts etc...

Wow that was a long post that came out of nowhere.

Yeah I found the option since this post (you have to unckeck Sid's tips I think)... It definately help to focus on your civ management :)
