Hi everyone. I have a question regarding the advanced buttons on worker management. It deals with SHIFT-A (No Altering). What does this mean? Does it mean that the workers WILL NOT alter any improvements when this automatic command is issued?

And by the way, I finally won my first Emperor match with against a single AI opponent. Now I will be trying to go for a Demigod victory! Any tips would be helpful here!

Thanks for replying!

yeah, basically they won't change irrigation to mines and vice versa, but they'll continue making all other improvements.

And then move on to the next city. Ctrl-Shift-I would be "Automate, No Altering, this city only", which is probably better to use if you must automate so that you keep them confined.

Well, my first tip would be: Don't automate workers. Although Shift-A is probably better than just plain automating them, I would still prefer to be the one telling the workers which tiles to improve first. Especially on higher levels.

I'll automate late in the game for pollution (which is almost a given, unless I have damage/pollution that is separated from me by enemy territory) and if I'm tired of telling the workers what to do and it's harmless to automate them in a city, like where the hill/mountain tiles need improvement.
