I just played a nice regular king game (my first real good one) in SP mode, with four civs total (well, I haven't been playing king that long yet), as the Spanish. I ended up knocking out the Babs and reducing the mighty Vikings and meek Romans to one "pet" city apiece. The resulting huge robust empire on an 80x125 map (the biggest area possible) gave me an idea:
I want to create a "scenario" (more for my own amusement) where at the time of stealth this huge empire suddenly splits into seven pieces, each more or less even except for the "core" Spanish empire (well, a democracy), and the mighty Vikings who restored control of their former empire's cities (picture an oppressed conquered nationality in those cities, ripe for revolt) with a bloody fundamentalist uprising--these two are vendetta enemies. Along with these are five other players, including the Babylonians (wiped out by conquest, but they manage to retake their cities by revolt), the Romans, and three breakaway parts of the Spanish-founded mass of cities (more than half the planet altogether) with different inclinations and diplomatic postures.
Which leads me to my question: since I only started the game with four players, and eliminated one, it seems I cannot add new players (to total seven) into the scenario with any of the scenario tools. I suppose I could make do with three (and modify my plans greatly--I put a lot of thought into this scenario) if I HAVE to, or go back to where the Babs still existed if I want four--but I REALLY want to put seven factions into this scenario, and I don't want to have to start with the blank map and put all the cities in myself, so I must use the sav file itself for the scenario--is there any way to add in more civs to a game after the fact?
