i was just wondering, is there a smaller file i can download to get the 0.15 patch? i noticed it consisted of 200mb (which i downloaded anyway) but i was wondering if this was the actual mod that comes with the patch, or if it's the actual size of the patch itself. i had downloaded 0.14 and it was like 1mb, so it looked kinda funny >_< i'm not a real big fan of filling my comp up to the brim with stuff (no offense meant to the design group if it was the size of the patch itself. your mod is worthy of being an expansion pack)so i was just making sure i wasn't downloading the whole game and installing it again.

thanks for you help ^^

On that note, Kael, isn't there a way to patch a version to become the next, instead of making each of them stand alone? A know, for a fact that the bulky of mod are the art files, which should take most of it. I mean, instead of having the mods Fall from Heavens II 0.xx, have Fall from Heavens II and just update the needed files?

Yeah, its possible. Unfortunatly that means I have to track every change in those files so I know what has changed and what hasn't. Invariably I would miss some and spend time troubleshooting some mis-matched files.

And you would need to apply every major version, since all the changes wouldn't be in every version, A real pain for new players (and heaven help me when the guy running 0.11 applies 0.15 and wonders why stuff is missing).

So its much easier to break it into major versions and patches. Major versions are a completly new copy of the mod (so I know you have everything and everyone is the same) and patches are bug fixes that never introduce new features or items, and they won't break save games.

Yeah, i agree with Kael, that this way is easier and more reliable, even if you have to download the whole mod again...
