There is alot of railroading to be done around Fox Nest and this should reduce the build time of ToE even further. I'm leaning towards ending the next turn chat after the completion of universal suffrage in 4 turns. (Sooner if someone else builds it?!? )

Anyway, while we must decide which tech we want to research we will have a better idea of the completion time of ToE after Tuesday's turn chat.

Yes, we should research something in 4 turns to, if Eyrei will allow science funding for that, that way the two tie in together, we'll have Universal Suffrage and another tech (hopefully espionage or sanitation, don't take long) then we decide another one and we should have a few tech free turns after that and then boom, TOE and two more techs (Strider will be so happy that we got TOE)

At 70% science our surplus is 174 gpt

Theory of Evolution is currently set to finish in 16 turns but Chieftess has showed us how to shave one turn already bringing us down to 15 turns. By additional railroading around Fox Next and temporarily getting one more mined grassland from Eyr the maximum production in Fox Nest could be brought to 48 shields per turn. If Fox Nest was at this level now then ToE would be complete in 12 turns. The bottom line is it will take us any where from 12 to 15 turns to complete ToE and should adjust our science queue and science rates accordingly.

Please discuss this issue as there is a turn chat on Tuesday and we must start a one day poll today by 6:59 pm eastern US time (11:59 pm Greenwich time) so as to have the results by the turn chat. The turn chat is scheduled to end when we complete universal suffrage in four turns and we can time this with the completion of a tech as well!

I suggest that we set the science rate to 70%, and research replaceable parts, sanitation and espionage. These would be complete in 15 turns, and if necessary to coincide with the completion of the TOE, we could still set the science rate higher for one of the techs. This way we will still have a good amount of money to increase our literacy rate, and to upgrade to infantry after researching replaceable parts.

I like Eyrei's plan. Getting Replaceable parts would be great for the rubber, artillery, infantry, and the double-speed workers. Not to mention many other nations have it and it is cheaper now.

I would rather get Atomic Theory for free, if possible, because it is so expensive. We could research 2 or 3 techs in the time it would take to get AT. One problem with planning too far ahead is that other nations do research as well, so turn times can decrease (but not increase, at least).

Can we at least agree for this proposal to go with Replaceable Parts and then Sanitation? I would definitely agree to that. We need a poll very very soon I think.

This plan has my full support. Hoover and ToE are the vital wonders in this era.

Obviously we need a new poll though, as the previous science queue was voted on by the people.

One more ting to throw into the mix: our luxury export to the Iroquois will expire in a couple turns. Hiawatha is currently paying 25 gpt for the lux. The Iroquois have replaceable parts (as do the Greeks, Indians and Zulus). We may want to redo the lux deal with Hiawatha in 2 turns to get replaceable parts.

Curufinwe beat me to posting the poll. Since we plan only four turns for Tuesday's turn chat we really only need one or two techs decided upon now.
