Absolutely the best way to get a very high score in the civ3 is to conquer the world. It seems that the time you spend on conquerring has very big role in the final score. I conquerred the Tiny world on a monarch level at 300 BC and got over 9000 points in final score(Montezuma the magnificent). The other games I`ve played(won with spaceship or UN) resulted on ly 1000-3000 points.
