Absolute Beginner wants to create his own civ.

Hi everyone,

so after finding out that there are no custom civs in Civ 6, I've been trying to find out how to mod my own for the past hour or so, but I just can't find how to get started if you have no modding experience at all.
Could somebody guide me in the right direction?
The most important thing for me would be to change the leader picture and the name of the civ.

My Italian Civilization is quite basic but does not have a changed Leader Picture. Start with that so you get a basic feel for how to Mod a Civilization.

Both the Sikh and Denmark Civilizations have changed leader screens, changed diplomacy screens and leader icons. However this is more complicated and you will need either GIMP2 with the DDS plugin or Paint.Net to create the correct texture files for the game.
