I started this thread to discuss Old World Achievements which are difficult to trigger. Some of these are not very intuitive, and others seem to be completely random occurrences.

My hope is that the community can help to answer questions on how to complete these difficult achievements.

Muwatalli II KIA
As Hatti, Muwatalli II killed in action at Battle of Qadesh (Egypt scenario 4)

I have tried playing multi-player as Hatti, and this achievement did not trigger for me. Is there something other than losing the unit with Muwatalli II which needs to occur for this to trigger?

I'm personnally wondering about the famous couple Soren & Leyla, how we're supposed to get that one.
Yeah, I don't have that one yet.

Ethnic Diversity: Have a Leader with all 7 ethnicities

Does this have to be the original 7, or will "all 7" on a 7 player map trigger this achievement even if one of them is a DLC nation?

Is there a way to marry someone with more than one ethnicity? Or does this achievement require seven generations to trigger?

Any 7 ethnicities work. Marriage candidates will generally only have 1 ethnicity, so yes you will likely need at least 7 generations.

What is required to trigger Failed the Aten in Egypt Scenario 3?

I am currently going through the Egypt campaign again to follow The Hekau Khasut Slaves storyline.

As this goes across multiple scenarios, is it necessary to play through them all in order? Scenario 4 does not have any events related to The Hekau Khasut Slaves. Can I skip from Scenario 3 to Scenario 5 and still follow the storyline? Or do I need to play the battle again?

They do sort of have to be in order, as the events in each scenario rely on specific answers from earlier scenarios.
Skip scenario 4.

Here's the code.

Akhen-who? - fail any of the pre-war goals (Found Akhetaton, Build Temple of the Aten, Spread Atenism, Enact Monotheism, Make Atenism state religion).
Failed the Aten - pass all of the pre-war goals, but fail to capture more cities than Priests of Amun.

Okay, I tried it again. This time I completed all of the pre-war goals, and deleted all of my religious units to let the Amun forces capture my cities. I lost the game, but the Achievement did not trigger.

Do I need to hold out for 40 turns without losing my capital?

So, I was able to get Failed the Aten. I held my capital (and also one additional city) at the end of the 40 turns. The rest were either ceded to Amun forces, or to raiders.

Correct, you need to exist but have less cities than Amun at the end of the turn count.

The last achievement I need to the Egypt campaign is Destruction at Qadesh.

I cannot figure out how to get this one to trigger. Allowing Hatti forces to occupy the city and defense areas resulted in Hatty having a Major Victory and triggered the Qadesh Defeat achievement. Intentionally losing most of my units resulted in Hatti having a Minor Victory (I think when my unit count reaches 50% of his unit count), but no additional achievement was triggered. I have already earned the other achievements for losing each general and losing the scout.

What are the requirements to trigger the Destruction at Qadesh achievement?

Destruction at Qadesh SHOULD be triggered by:
- Ratio of units < 50%
- Hatti has a unit on Qadesh city site tile at the same time

(Not just controls the city site tile, but has an actual unit on it at that time)

Thanks for the hint on Qadesh. That was the missing requirement.

In my current game, I triggered the event to wager a city (and lost the city). I was excited because this could get me the Didn't Need It Anyway achievement. Unfortunately, another event a few turns later returned the city to me (with only the one option, so I could not choose to let them keep it).:mad::mad:

In my current game, I use Hypatia the Rising Star to tutor my heir, but the achievement Hypatia the Teacher is not triggered. I have attached a save (she is not tutoring him in this save, but is available to begin tutoring...it is three turns later when the achievement should be triggered).
