Achievements

Do Achievements (with the exception of the obivous one) work in any of the Multiplayer Maps?

I'm pretty sure that in MP with a friend I did not get the Autocracy Policy achievement, despite obviously filling it up..?

Also, do achievements work at all in Hotseat (i could understand to some extent why they wouldn't, but still wondering).

Most acheivements do not work in MP unless they are specifically made for MP. This is by design as Valve/2K do not want players cheating in MP and setting each other up to win all these acheivements. Were as you can't make the AI give you an easy acheivement, you have to do it the hard way.

That is why there are words like "boosting" that exist for that. I can't say much about FPS games that have dedicated servers.... which make it a lot easier for clans to do that.

Well then I guess it's gonna be never when I reach 100% achievements then.. stupid Scenarios...

Although I kinda find that slightly ridioclous, it's not like we win an award for having all achievements, if this was XBox I could understand that (point based for achievements) but it isn't.

Myself I see very little value in Acheivements anyway, if you want to see how good you are in SP, play CivFanatics Game of the Month or similar competitions, and if you want to see how good you are at MP join Civplayers and compete head to head with other people :-/ But I guess it is like your kintergarten teacher giving you a smilely face sticker besides your name Some people like that

I just see it as a way to replay a game.
