AMERICAN CIVIL WAR by PROCIFICA (developer-creation-design)


ROCOTEH listed AS co-creater of American Civil War-and creater of ACW 3.9 C3C

ACW is supported by scenario team Rocoteh,The Last Conformist, Misfit_Travel and Noldodan.

This is a tweaked version (with permission) of the ACW scenario that changes the Victory Conditions to (VICTORY POINTS) and is NOT as accurate as the original version.

ALL CREDIT for units-maps-concepts-belong to the original team.I have simply changed the rules and tweaked some units and enhanced certain structures for conquests.

I will not be able to list all changes-enhancements but I will list the basics and add to this as I can.

INSERT----One small flaw is that Great Leader names (corrected)

**Culture Victory is allowed but cannot be met**

**This version is played as the SOUTH**

**The North is enhanced (better than normal games)**

**300000 VICTORY POINTS wins the game**

**The North has 15 victory locations(25pts per turn)**

**The South has 11 victory location(25pts per turn)**

**One unclaimed (not in a city) victory point in the west(25pts per turn)

**Each taken city scores 20 points**

**UNITS score at approx 90percent of their shield value**

**The North is ENHANCED**and unplayable in this tweaked version

**SOME UNITS**are built by structures only at a pre-set rate with a Union advantage

SPECIAL NOTE-this tweaked version is MUCH HARDER and for Exp. players only. Feel free to post scores later in the thread. Please note any changes you made(if any) and how aggressive you set the AI.

NOTE----DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE INTO YOUR CONQUEST SCENARIO FOLDER (or extract to)-AND it will show up under CIV CONTENT not the scenario screen. Will need to have ACW 3.9 CSA installed prior as far as I know.

Thanks Procifica, I will follow you advice and appreciate the work you put into creating the scenario and would like to see results from you and others on trying the tweaked version. Or in other words tell me if you like it:) .......dreadknought
 
I will post more scenario details here as time permits---------

**LEADERS** spawn into a General unit (This unit represents the named leader and has added speed-hitpoints-strength-

**Leaders**Also represent a small army with the general and have added hitpoints-speed-strength

**Leaders** can affect the outcome of the game and change the battlefield

**MANY UNITS**now enslave

**POWS**from both sides are created and can be liberated(destroyed) for extra victory points

**STEALTH ATTACK**a few units now have this ability

**SOME UNITS**are auto-structure built only units

*****IMPORTANT NOTE*****All victory point cities have the auto-build structures and are very important areas to capture.
 
More details may be added here----------------

**Calvalry**is faster(3)-better attack-but rare and UNBUILDABLE(must be auto-built)

**All foot unit are faster**2 movement

**all artillery-cannon**are still 1 movement (except horse artillery-2)

**land artillery-cannon-** are lethal land units (new built units)

**TECHS**cannot be traded
 
I will list details of my current game here and list anything new I think of as I go.

NEW GAME- VP EDITION- game1- released tweaked version

WEEK 28: war has begun and the bombardment along my coasts is rough and there is little I can do.

The north pushes in....Winchester falls(to the north)-Columbus falls-Ironton falls.

I destroy Fort Filmore-Fort Gibson

Week 29: Sedalia falls(to the north)-Staunton falls-Charleston (west vir.) falls-Grafton falls-Cape Girardeau falls-

Week30:Rolla falls (to the north) -Gordonsville falls.....and after 3 week Ive already lost 10 cities to the north

I capture ST. Joseph (1 for me)

Week 31: Pikeville-St. Joseph Fall(to the north)

Week 33: Lewisburg falls (north)

Week 36:Barely holding a line near Lynchburg-Salem-Wytheville.
Fredericksburg under constant attack but holding on. Still hitting Washington w/ Army of the Potomac but down to half strength now.

No great Military leaders as of yet. 2 more turns until victory screen. Its rough ,as expected.

Well disaster struck during the AI TURN (week 36) as Richmond was taken and razed. The AI that had been attacking Fredericksburg suddenly hit Richmond and through some very unlucky rolls they got it and razed it and its production centers.

I decide to concede to the ai at this point as I feel I need Richmonds divisions to survive. AI-1 ME 0

The computer had put my new capitol at New Orleans.....next game.....(new thread)

Starting game 2-----

Ok to update this thread...

Week 28-war again- and ironton-winchester (both south) falls

Week 29 - A GOOD BREAK-Elite CAL. brigade produces( LEES army)--------Fort Filmore destroyed------Sedalia(s) falls---Columbus(s) falls-----Grafton(S) falls------Rolla(s)falls----

Then a bad break sort of.....Lees army destroyed(they are not all powerfull) but not until defeating 3 union divisions which should help me some......we shall see.....more later

Week 30-AI changes its pattern from the other game and is massing near Clarksville skipping the better guarded Richmond area.

Week 31- Held out against a charge at Clarksville





Week33-Still attacking Clarksville- I hit elite garrison in Washington.......
Bowling Green falls(s)
AI get GRANTS ARMY- at Battle for Bowling.....crap
1-1 in great leaders

Week 34- Nashville now in danger(victory point location)- Shermans Army defeated in the battle for Nashville.

I get Johnsons Army in the battle for Washington---2-1 in leaders

Week 35- Trying to move Johnsons army to Nashville plus any other troops I can get there
Clarksville falls(s)

Week 36-Still holding Nashville but very weak now-making progress at Washington(destroyed many units there) and it could well be a trade off-------Washington for Nashville.......

I could live with that as Washington produces more units but still dont wont to see Nashville fall:mad: :mad:

The 2-1 edge in great military leaders has given me a better chance this game so I have hopes of being around a while.

Week 37-Manage to capture Washington but very weak.--------Columbia,TN-Tullahoma-Johnsonville falls(s)

Week38-Lose and re-capture Washington(1)--re-capture Nashville() and destroy Fort Gibson
VP-----ME 14391--------AI--------11559 (IM actually ahead this time)

Week 39-Jefferson City Falls------Bowling Green Retaken(1)by Johnsons army-------Fort Craig Captured

Week 40-Carthage falls-

Week 43- Union massing more and more troops around Washington but no big changes---------
VP-----20105-ME------------16683---AI

Week 44-Union troops massing at Charleston W-VIR

Week 45 Clarksville retaken but then lost again-----
AI Great Leader at a battle near Nashville(Sherman). Had to pull Johnson out of Bowling Green to fight Sherman.Johnson (28pts) vs Sherman (18pts). Johnson wins with 9 pts left but will lose Bowling Green again.

VP----25697 south------19932 union----------2-2 on leaders

Week 46-------week 8------1862

Im skipping ahead but here is the jist of it. I have retaken Bowling Green-Columbus KY. and still hold Washington but Pikesville is looking vulnerable at this time
The Union has sent massive troops and still have more production but I am fighting a defensive war and am able to hold and inflict great losses as they attack.
It appears to me that if I hold my cities and stay defensive I can win because they take such huge victory point losses to troops.Im also starting to get strong enough to build a few improvements in a few cities(factories-libraries)
I am planning on staying conservative and holding my key areas.

My victory points 50788-------AI-----31478

leader count ----3-3 But my current leader protects Bowling Green

Ill report back after 15-20- more turns.....
