Add extra civs in worldbuilder

Hi Im sure this has been asked before but cant find it anywhere,

Is there anyway to add an extra civ in worldbuilder, so if before there was 7 now there are 8?

No, but you can easily edit the WBS file with a text editor and add in a new civ.

And the reverse - less civs per map than default? Possibly the same way, I suppose?

Yes, if its a pre-made map, otherwise it would be easier to just go into custom game and choose how many civs you want. I don't know if custom scenario works in the same way...
