Adding units makes my game crash.

The above says it all. I click on the unit to build and instantly get a "Civ III.exe" error and quits. Am I not doing something right?
 
well you need to put the file in ..\art\units and whatever the file name is must be also exactly the same as what you called it in the .bic and the .ini file also make sure that all the flc's' are named correctly in the .ini file too
 
Yeah, I got that. I also made up a part for the civlopedia. Tha unit shows up in the civlopedia in the game; but it crashes when built.
 
I fixed it! I forgot to check the .ini file and change all the names to match. It works now. I feel like such a doof:rolleyes: Now if I can get the description of the unit to work in the game civlipedia. I added the description and stuff to the civlopedia; and now when I check it out in the game, the whole unit explination is in the description area of the unit listed before it!!:confused:
 
I am having a similar problem. When I try to produce an added unit I get an read file error message for the INI. I checked folder name along with INI file, all OK. I made added an earlier settler unit and it worked fine, but when I try to add infantry for later eras, and then produce them when they become available, the error pops up. Any input would be good.
