I'm new to c3c, and am not finding adequate information with many of their changes in the manual. These forums are great for clearing some issues up. One issue I can find nothing on is the subject of Advancement (Research) Multipliers.
How are these determined? I was playing with victory points on, but only points for advancement. I want to time the victory conditions with the tech tree such that it's litterally who gets all tech first. I know SS basically accomplishes this, but I've never been a fan of the codependance of research and production in this case. From what I've seen (I naively set the multiplier to 100 and the victory conditions to 5000, thinking that it would take about 50 tech upgrades to get there), each tech has a base number of victory points associated with it, and it's not just "points for your first tech, more points for second tech, etc." If this is correct, where can I find a list of the base points for each tech?
Also, while you're here, for some reason I can't seem to get my units to actually capture a city anymore. They destroy it automatically. I can't find the place to change this into an option, for the life of me. Where?
