Advances/units production progress

Hi guys!

How can I change the turns needed for CIV advances and units production so as to be quicker to produce a unit and slower to advance technologically in a given map/scenario?

For example I would like to play the Earth Huge 18 civs scenario at Epic Speed, but I would like year progress to be slower but the unit production faster....

GameInfo/CIV4GameSpeedInfo.xml.

Compare the different speeds between them.

Use the Modiki to understand the tags, there is a link in CivFanatics near the top of the page.
 
That should affect all maps and not just the specific map
 
Except if he makes a mod with an altered speed file and just this map in it...:)
 
Under Beyond the Sword folder in your Programs files, there is a folder called Mods, with ... all the Mods for BtS. You should see Charlemagne there. Open a folder, call it as you wish (your Mod's name).

In it, open two folders: Assets and PrivateMaps, where you will put a copy of your favorite maps (actually, this part is not really necessary if you don't make changes to the map itself, because the game will look for all the maps in the official PublicMaps folder anyway).

In the Assets folder, open an XML folder. In it, a GameInfo folder. In it, place your version of the CIV4GameSpeedInfo.xml file.

There you have your Mod. Whenever you want to change a file, put it in your Mod as per the same structure as it is done in the BtS folder. Anything you will put there will overwrite the BtS settings upon loading your Mod.
