Hi guys! This is my first post, so hopefully this won't be a rehash of something someone else has posted. I did a brief search, but nothing came up, so...
What would you say the best way to play this game with your friends is? I have three friends with the game, with one planning on buying it shortly, and I'm not really sure how to set it up, rules wise.
I don't want to make too many rules, but there's no point starting a game only for one person to get knocked out after half an hour. So it seems logical to say 'no attacking each other' and play against hard AI. But then you have one person who might just sit back and go for a cultural victory, and despite doing nothing, will win the game. Especially if you're next to them, and conquering all the AI. And obviously you'd attack a human player first, because they're more of a threat - or your army will be out conquering and they'll stab you in the back! But then the game ends...
So I'm wondering - what have people tried that works? I like random civs, and generally we agree not to attack each other at the beginning. Does anyone else use verbal rules, or do we just do an absolute free for all? What do you guys think?
