Age of Empires Strategies

You really sure you want to argue with a mod about a non-civ game? Then again, it is you. :joke:

It's ok, me and Chieftess are homies (we're like best friends in the chatroom). :D

I just bought Age Of Empires Collectors Edition for $10 at WalMart, it has
Age of Empires, Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome Expansion,
Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, and Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion.

All on one disc and only needs 100 MB hard disc space plus 100 MB swap file (whatever that is), so small!
I wonder if I can install it on a flash drive and tote it around?

I havn't opened it yet. I have never played Real-Time Strategy (RTS) on my PC only Civ4 and other stuff. I played Command and Conquer Red Alert about 10 years ago on Play Station so I have a foggy idea how that fast click stuff goes. Should I keep it? Should people with achy fingers and joints not play? Are the graphics hideous by 2007 standards? If I love turn based Civ will RTS be a let down?

Also was wondering about the "T" ESRB rating, is it much worse than Civ in terms of violence? Why the more severe rating tag?

I thought playing AoE I & II would be a good way to see if AoE III might be something I'd like to get at a future date when they come out with a discounted AoE III Complete set and they start selling a high priced AoE IV. However perhaps that's not a good way to do it? I have the receipt and can return it before i open it. $10 seemed like a steal for something that once sold for $70 or more.

Just trying to decide if I should I keep it, any ideas from experienced gamers appreciated.

Last thingy : Went to the store today and saw Age of Empires II with the Expansion pack in a large box priced for twice ($20) what I paid for that game plus AoEI game combo disc. But the big box game has some maps and games played by experts. Also noticed the game in the big box takes 550 MB of hard disc space to load the game. Now how could AoE II alone take 550 MB but the Collectors Edition with more games than that only take 100 MB plus a 100 MB swap file on the hard drive to install?
thanks
