So, who do you guys think is the next big god? Before I had the game, I heard it was Odin, and then Ra, but now that Ra is nerfed, who's next?

Haven't been over on MFO for a while have you?

Every other thread there is some whiner complaining that since the patch came out 90% of the people they have played have been Loki. It has already been renamed Age of Norse by some...

Of course, all this is complete bull, IMO. At least I haven't experienced anything like what they're complaining about. In my games I have met most of the different gods, perhaps slightly more Set than anyone else. People just think that they can nerf every god that they don't play with since all the whining about Ra obviously yielded results. If anything, I would call it Age of Whiners right now, but I hope it's something that will pass. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea to release three patches in three months after all... now everbody are scared that if they don't shout loud enough, their own god might be nerfed next

Nah, I haven't been at any Age forums for a while. All SimCity 4 ones. But, I'm starting to get the itch to raze something. AoM will call me back.

What some people don't get is that Loki was good BEFORE the patch. In fact, he was my favorite Norse god. Did the patch even add anything to him?

I totally agree on the whiner comment. Still, it must be tempting as a game developer to listen to your fans...

That's just the thing, the patch did nothing at all to Loki. Some people seem to have a hard time understanding this. And nobody complained that he was overpowered pre-patch, so I don't know why they've started now. It's all just very strange.

I mean, Loki isn't that good, is he? You know with 90% certainty what he's gonna do and when he's gonna do it. Just build defensively close to your tc, upgrade your towers, and build counters. And if all else fails, just pick Hades and beat his little rush silly with your Sentinels. The only time Loki might be a little too strong is on water, since he can build attackers during his transition to classical, and take out your dock before you've got your barracks/stable up.

Excellent game. Possibly the best RTS available. I played it with my friend's original cds, and finished it.
But now I can't play in ESO unless I buy it on my own (or find someone who wants to give his account as a gift )
