I was playing the Alexander The Great scenario, and I was invading Saba (Yemen) They had many civs there, and each one would give me a special bonus if I allied with that one. I chose to be allied with the Cyan country (I think they were called the "Himyarites" or something similiar), and I was able to build Chariots. I conquered 3 civs, and my ally conquered 1 city, because they were helping the yellow country, which had all the elephants, and became one of the 2 "superpowers" there. I tried to invade the Yellow, and took 1 city, when their giant army of elephants and ground units surrounded my army, and easily killed my army. This whole time, my ally did absolutely NOTHING to help out, even though they were doing good too. I made peace and an alliance with the more powerful civ, and decided to declare war on my former ally to punish them. However, my entire army was defeated by the yellow nation, and my former ally started an invasion. Even though I had an alliance with the yellows, they did NOTHING to help me, and I had no army left! Tell me, do you build a giant army of elephants, spearmen, and archers for absolutely no reason? They let me get invaded, and I couldn't rebuild an army fast enough to retaliate. I knew I was going to lose, and got really frustrated that none of my allies can help me, but when we are at war, they can invade me, no problem!

I paused it, and than used the cheat nuke option to blow up all their cities. Then, I nuked my ally's army for punishment. I was very satisfied, even though I lost because of Armageddon.

I then came here, and saw this thread!
^That must have been one of my longest posts ever!
