I know I need a host who gets bigger images...

Anyway, I'm red, computer Allie is Purple. Baddies were all round the outside, 6 of them. Had to blast my way right the way round while the French did Sweet F all!
My verdict is that Napolean is a ***** and deserves to be spanked like one for doing nothing.
Thankfully, I boosted the pop limit to 20k, so I had enough troops and tanks etc to march through.
Right at the end I delivered a couple of novelty nukes to him, from my stash. You cant really see it, but I had 6 or 7 silos in a row in the Top Left corner. Bwahahaha, I love Tomahawks...

 They SUCK!!! Not too long ago, I was playing against many, many civs, and my 1 ally did NOTHING. Did I forgot to mention, There army was HUGE They had elephants! Huge, frikin War elephants, and they did absolutely NOTHING to save me when I was invaded. You don't usually get an ally, and a giant military with 40 infantry units, and 20 elephants for nothing, do you? Makes me wish I could nuke them, but I was in the ancient age.... :(

Edit: Never mind. I just found out about the "cheat nuke" option.

 :nuke:

 I was playing the Alexander The Great scenario, and I was invading Saba (Yemen) They had many civs there, and each one would give me a special bonus if I allied with that one. I chose to be allied with the Cyan country (I think they were called the "Himyarites" or something similiar), and I was able to build Chariots. I conquered 3 civs, and my ally conquered 1 city, because they were helping the yellow country, which had all the elephants, and became one of the 2 "superpowers" there. I tried to invade the Yellow, and took 1 city, when their giant army of elephants and ground units surrounded my army, and easily killed my army. This whole time, my ally did absolutely NOTHING to help out, even though they were doing good too. I made peace and an alliance with the more powerful civ, and decided to declare war on my former ally to punish them. However, my entire army was defeated by the yellow nation, and my former ally started an invasion. Even though I had an alliance with the yellows, they did NOTHING to help me, and I had no army left! Tell me, do you build a giant army of elephants, spearmen, and archers for absolutely no reason? They let me get invaded, and I couldn't rebuild an army fast enough to retaliate. I knew I was going to lose, and got really frustrated that none of my allies can help me, but when we are at war, they can invade me, no problem! I paused it, and than used the cheat nuke option to blow up all their cities. Then, I nuked my ally's army for punishment. I was very satisfied, even though I lost because of Armageddon. I then came here, and saw this thread! :wow:

^That must have been one of my longest posts ever!

I've found allies to be very dependable on the tough level, especially when you ask them to send reinforcements.

I found that they do more in Tough mode, but they spend more time being invaded rather than invading the enemies. That means I have to get the research up to a level where I can set up cities on other continents in order to support them when a massive army crosses the pond to beat crap out of them. It just gets ridiculous when when I jump it up to Toughest, the enemy army doubles, and my allie one still can't defend themselves well enough. Damn them.

It really helps to tell them to go where you want. Hit enter, type 22, hint insert and click where you want them to send troops.

the civ4 AI is actually pretty good and ive played both games
