So the other night i was playing a game and hoping to lightbulb philosophy from a great scientist (i was a philosophical civ) after nabbing code-of-laws with the oracle. So everything is going according to plan but then the Inca got code-of-laws and popped a scientist and in about 300BC they nabbed philosophy from under my noes (i was four turns from a great scientist). Grrr! Emperor difficulty. Vanilla (you might have to stretch your memory back a bit).
How likely is it for the AI to light-bulb philosophy? Are they much less likely to do so if Taoism is already founded? Do they bee-line for it if its not? Anyway, any help would be appreciated because the philosophy lightbulb is one of my favorite tactics with phil leaders and getting Taoism is a nice little side-benefit to being able to run pacifism. Also, i like establishing a philosophy monopoly on the way to Liberalism to form a sort of bottle-neck.
K, thanks for any advice.
