Not sure if this is related to the new patch, but it seems like in my last two games, if I take an AI city they will intentionally avoid attempting to re-take it for a few turns. Below is a Deity example. I took the Mongolian capital with three Longships slowly grinding it down from the sea. On the turn the city was captured, Mongolia could have easily re-captured it and burned my Longship with Horseman, Chariot, 2 Warriors, and an Archer all in range. Instead, they moved most of the units AWAY form the city. They aren't chasing my units since I have no land troops nearby. I wonder if there is hard code causing the AI to "pause" a few turns after losing a city just to make things easier for the player, or if this is some weird behavior and the units are following a program to "defend" nearby cities. I would have been happy just to temporarily capture the Encampment for the MT boost but I guess now I might have enough turns to buy land troops and actually hold the city.....
