OK, I've done this to the AI before to screw with their production but this is the first time this has happened to me.

I have a RoP w/ the Greeks so I can access to the soft underbelly of the Zulu.

Anyway, I have a lone Greek worker runing around over my countryside irrigating my mines. How do I put a stop to this?

Can't send him home because of the RoP. I guess I could box him in w/ 6 old units. But I would really like to see him under the hooves of a calvary unit.

He's probably doing it to get the irrigation to his own territory, since he doesn't have fresh water there. You can just replace them again, after he has gone to his own territory, he'll stop.

Box him, and box any other workers that come in to do the same. They will be just waiting there when you decide to take the Greeks out.

Germany did this to me. It cost me 5 turns on a wonder. ALong with time to fix it. And he just irrigated ONE mine..... The bastard..... I soon swept him up in the hovves and tracks of my tanks and horses....

The answer is simple dont enter ROP agreements. If someone blocks your passage to another civ that you wish to invade just invade them too!

Spoken like a true war-mongerer. :goodjob: :soldier: :tank:

I think that altering existing improvements should be considered an act of war.

Exactly. In the same way that AI building a city right next to your colony should be considered an act of war.

I'm almost sure that worker meant no harm. Check out where that irigation's going... prolly a lot of plains real estate in his home land with no rivers. But this is why I pretty much agree with supaguruzebidy. The AI better pay me a pretty penny if it wants ROP with me. It's a tech and gold, or no ROP. Needless to say, I rarely sign the things.

happens to me quite a bit, in my opinion the Russians are evil for it, they do it to me quite a bit. I hate the Russians

No one for making more outrageous tribute demands regardless of power situation and attitude like Catherine...

I refused a tribute to Jerksies and before I could say "alliance" I had the rest of continent on my back thanks to an unintential RoP rape on the Babs. I pulled all my units out, made some demands, and then declared war. Unfortunately I had an empty galley within his territorial waters and the rest of the world were more than happy to dog pile me.

Too bad for them I was ahead in tech and had the bigest army around. Since my rep already was trashed I just razed cities as I went and bent the rest of the continent to my will.

The greek worker is now one of my countless slaves.

Jerksies has just declared war on me again for catching a spy and it has already cost him a city. I'm going to chew him up in the countryside while I pack more than a couple of galleys with infantry and cavelry for a land into the vinyards just outside his doomed capitol.

I love this game. :)

You did the right thing

Jerksies exploited the fact that this is not considered an act of war by the game.

You told him otherwise. :)
